Bio

Started my career as a glorified shipping clerk (Customer Service Rep) in Los Angeles at a Japanese chemical firm. Was promoted to the youngest manager in the 40 year history of the firm two years later. Simultaneously started a socially responsible import firm out of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Burned out of both. Went to grad school where I started an internet services firm. Post trade school, I did strategy and technology consulting, grew an office to 100 colleagues, and then tried four turnarounds - one being a miserable failure. Had two hooligans. Walked away from working for someone else (and got divorced as well), wrote a book (and did executive search while writing it), and started Ingage, an innovative speaking and services firm whose mission is to align leaders, teams, and talent to emotionally engage with their work. To date, we have worked with organizations such as Google, Microsoft, Pfizer, Yahoo, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Harvard Business School. Have been quoted in publications such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, and Barron's.
