I received NY State Unemployment benefits for 10 months last year, and taxes were taken out (from both the gross amount, and the stimulus amount). I have 3 questions about the tax process for unemployment:
Is the state held to the same deadlines as private companies as far as providing a W-2 or similar form;
Would both state AND Federal taxes have been taken out;
Will the amounts withheld contribute to the amount eligible for the child tax credit
