Welcome to LifeTuner! We're happy to have you join our community where people come together to learn, share, compare and progress together toward achieving the lives they want. To maintain a safe, respectful and fun environment for our members, we have some basic ground rules we'd like everyone to follow.
What to do:
Share what you know: A lot of financial wisdom is picked up through trial and error in life and each community member has stories of both successes and mistakes to share. Help your fellow LifeTuners by speaking up and telling what has worked and what hasn't worked for you.
Be respectful: There's a right way to disagree with someone and a wrong way. Remember that each profile you see on LifeTuner is attached to a live breathing person. Please treat all members of the community as you would like to be treated. This includes respecting the privacy of others, by not posting other people's personal information without their permission.
Keep it clean: LifeTuner will not tolerate vulgar, obscene, hateful or racially-charged or otherwise bigoted language. If you wouldn't be comfortable using a word in front of your grandmother, please don't use it here.
Be responsible: Don’t misrepresent yourself or give advice designed to cause someone harm. Posting material that's false, deceptive, or misleading is wrong.
What not to do:
Don't upload content that is not yours: Be sure that answers, tips or comments you provide on LifeTuner are your own work and not taken from someone else's copyrighted material.
Don't harass other members: LifeTuner is about sharing life experiences that impact our finances. Directing inappropriate advances toward other members is not OK, and neither is posting suggestive or inappropriate photos.
Don't spam the site: We're all here to share information and from time to time that may mean plugging an awesome book you've read or Web site you've been using. But people generally know spam when they see it. Please do not post commercial content that is not relevant to a conversation or topic. We reserve the right to remove commercial content and suspend the accounts of users who sell or promote products or services through the LifeTuner site.
Here are some other things to keep in mind:
Keep in mind that whatever you post could be seen by lots of people, so think about how much personal information you really want to share.
Take what you find on the site with a grain of salt. There's no substitute for healthy skepticism and your own good judgment.
