What is LifeTuner
LifeTuner is where financial literacy becomes interactive and community driven. A place where tools spark aha moments and create an "hmm...I need to do this" sense of urgency. Where even one person's small success can inspire others like them to get started. Or an expert's good advice can help you finally take action. And, where learning from someone else's mistake means you won't find yourself saying, "If only I had known this before . . . ."
LifeTuner is not just a site, but a way to get individuals talking about money, to seek advice and gain confidence in managing your finances. LifeTuner is not in competition with other sites, but rather it's a place to discover great tools, resources and get advice and guidance on life's money-related decisions – both major and routine.
We think getting self-educated on finances takes community and that's what we are trying to do here on LifeTuner. So start talking about your finances, try a tool, or read an expert tip. It'll reduce your stress and might even help others take action, too.
Our Story
We believe that everyone deserves a fair shot at understanding the financial fundamentals that are key to life.
By following a basic, proven set of habits, anyone can greatly improve their chances of achieving strong financial health and long-term economic stability.
LifeTuner brings together sensible, unbiased advice from volunteer financial experts with a vibrant community of peers and individuals who've been there before – all of whom can share their experiences and learn from each other.
Who We Are
LifeTuner is brought to you by AARP (www.aarp.org), a non-profit dedicated to helping people of all ages make smarter choices today for a better life tomorrow. For more than 50 years, AARP has helped adults over the age of 50 greatly improve their lives.
AARP has witnessed first hand the challenges for individuals and families who do not take the steps earlier in life to plan for their future financial security. Research shows that there is a strong link between financial literacy and retirement planning. LifeTuner is AARP's take on what individuals need to help them get control of their finances today for a more secure future later.
